'Lucy' is a 2010 red leopard filly with a star and strip, and feather marks. She should mature around 55 inches tall.
Check out the gorgeous head and super-size hip on this girl! She is the much anticipated first foal sired by Kind Of Impulsive, himself an International and Futurity Champion, and ROM earner. Lucy's dam is KS's Elusive Twist, a proven mare who is also the dam of KS's Dash Of Elegance, ROM(H), KS's Dashing Illusion, World Champion in halter and pleasure, Western Classic Grand Champion Mare, and KS's Dash Of Enchantment, a Futurity Top 10 producer. With parents like this, her
pedigree reads like a who's who from 3 different breeds with winners, top producers, and Hall of Fame inductees throughout. This little girl bears a striking resemblence to her sire with her beautiful head and big hip, and yes, she moves like him, too! Lucy was imprinted at birth and has been handled daily, but that only improves on the super sweet disposition she was born with. We brought her in the barn last spring to be fitted and shown, and we were absolutely thrilled with the results! Lucy has the pretty for halter, the very flat movement the judges love in
lungeline, and the brains for even the toughest trail maneuvers. Don't just take our word for it, the judges agree! At her very first show weekend in June, 2011, Lucy was Grand Champion in halter, first in trail, and second in lungeline! More great things were ahead, however. At the Southeast Regional and promos, she had some good placings including res. Jr Champion, and numerous 3rd place finishes in trail and lungeline. However, she still needed a little more polish to get the job done at the biggest shows. After working hard before the International show, that extra time paid off in a big way with a 2nd place finish in trail out of 29 entries, and an 8th place in yearling lungeline out of 36 entries!!! We were thrilled. Last fall Lucy continued her winning ways in state show competition, earning more wins in trail and lungeline, and a total of 233 halter points, 4 Grands, and 3 reserves. At the 2011 Futurity Show, Lucy again had a great showing. While a hiccup took her out of contention in trail, she had a great go in lungeline and finished in the top 15 out of a huge class of 42 entries. In halter many of the other fillies seemed to tower over Lucy, but the judges saw fit to award her with a 4th place finish out of a class of 21. Lucy will be started under saddle in the spring of 2012, and we have plans to show her in halter as well as 2 year old JPFC western pleasure, hunter under saddle, and trail. Watch for her on the rail! Lucy will be available for sale following the 2012 show season. Entered in the Incentive Fund.
