KS's Ghostys Snowtiger, "Snowy", KS's Custom Tuxedo Ghost, "Tuxy" and Laura

Laura, a longtime lover of black horses, first saw a photo of Tuxy as a foal, and knew she had to have him.  After weaning, Tuxy moved to his new home.  The next year, Snowy, Tuxy's full brother a year older, became available, and Laura purchased him, also.  The truly unique thing about these brothers is that they share a birthday- April 5th- they were just born a year apart!

Laura has shown her ponies in halter and under saddle classes at POA breed shows, with much success.  Both ponies have earned their ROMs in halter, both have won their halter classes at the Southeast Regional, and Tuxy is even Congress Champion in halter.  But Laura's best love is driving, something that brings her great enjoyment.  Her love of driving did not start with POAs, and these brothers are not even the first POAs she had that drive.  However, these are her first POAs to drive as a pair.

Laura began by teaching each pony to drive individually, logging many miles in the arena, in the fields, and down the roads and tracks near her farm.  As time passed, she began to think of driving her black and white brothers as a pair, something she began doing in 2012.  They have been "spotted" in Christmas parades, cruising showgrounds just for fun, demonstrating POA versatility at the and more recently, competing in pairs classes at pleasure driving shows.  So far she has competed in ring classes, cones class, as well as ADT (Arena Driving Trial) classes, which include dressage and obstacle classes.  While her boys are still learning to work together, they still came home with wins and an armload of ribbons!

Laura says, "I love their individual personalities, their athletic ability, and their shared birthday.  Snowy is always sweet, Tuxy can be a grouch, but deep down has a heart of gold.  Together they are a perfect team, and I am excited about their future!"
