'J.B.' (after James Bond, of course!) is a 2004 liver chestnut stallion with a blanket with spots, and a large star. He is currently measuring 55 inches tall.
Sharp color, nice head, and he is built like a brick! He just loves attenton and is one of the most laid-back stallions you will find. Absolutely nothing bothers him- clippers, baths, trailers, you name it! He is by KS's Dash For Pants, ROM(H), PP, and out of KS's Peppermint Twist, PP. His dam is known for producing foals that are beautiful movers with super dispositions, such as KS's Cajun Tiger, KS's Hard Candy Ghost, and KS's Isn't He Dashing. J.B. has been shown since he was 5 months old, so the show ring experience is nothing new to him. In 2006 he started his riding career in JPFC events, and competed at 4 shows in English Pleasure, Western Pleasure, and trail in addition to halter classes. In June of 2007 he hit the show trail again with shows in Tennessee where he was named Grand Champion twice and reserve Grand Champion once, and also showed in riding classes.
From there he moved on to the Southeast Regional show, where JB was named SE Regional Grand Champion Stallion, and earned the last few points needed for ROM(H)! He also earned some good placings in tough riding classes, including 2nd place in JPFC Hunter Under Saddle on Friday, and 2nd in JPFC Trail 3&4 year olds in the Regional. On to the 2007 International show, where JB was named International Champion 3 year old stallion! Continuing to prove his all-around abilities, JB also placed 5th in JPFC Reining, as well as competing in trail, western pleasure, and hunter under saddle. As always, he was a complete gentleman, and never made a peep, even while riding in a crowded warm-up area with all the kids. In August 2007, JB was sold to Mrs Gaye English and Family of Dubbo, New South Wales Australia. As of December, 2007, the end of his time in quarantine, JB now resides at Elsewhere Stud. JB has created quite a stir Downunder, and Gaye has already shown him in a few shows, where he has been named Grand Champion. Gaye plans to continue JB's show career and also begin his breeding career in earnest, though he is not completely unproven as a sire. JB serviced two mares before departing for quarantine Stateside- the full sisters KS's Tigers Date A Dream and KS's Tigers Dazzle Date. It is with great excitement that we anticipate these two foals' outstanding futures. As JB goes on to be a great sire and ambassador for POAs and Palouse Ponies in Australia, these will be his only two foals born in the United States.
