KS's Honkytonkin Ghost

KS's Honkytonkin Ghost

'Casper' is a 2005 sorrel fewspot leopard gelding with a blaze. He measures right at 55 inches tall.

KS's Honkytonkin Ghost

If you are looking for a really awesome gelding, Casper could be your guy! His disposition, trainability, quality of movement and natural athleticism are just off the charts. He could excel in halter, English or Western pleasure, Dressage, jumping, reining, pleasure driving, timed events, or anything else you have in mind! By Alias Ghost King and out of KS's Sheza Boogie Twist, Casper can claim multiple International Champion and multiple International Champion producer KS's Boogie With a Ghost as well as our own KS's Jammin With A Ghost- also an International KS's Honkytonkin Ghost Champion producer- as his full siblings. Casper is extremely quiet and well mannered, and handles any new situation with the same unflappable demeanor. Casper has unlimited potential to be the next all-star show pony in any and every class offered. He has even been shown lightly as a yearling in halter and showmanship by a youth, and already has earned halter points as well as Grand and Reserve Grand championships. It is easy to picture him as the next gelding to be shown by a youth to International and Supreme Championships! While he is slow-legged for western events, he has a beautiful working trot with exceptional grace, impulsion, and suspension that will wow the judges in Huntseat and pleasure driving classes. Casper entered training mid-November, 2008, and in two short weeks was longing well, excecuting beautiful showmanship patterns, and was sacked out in preperation for saddling. After a winter break, Casper returned to training mid-February, and quickly progressed to KS's Honkytonkin Ghost lunging with a saddle and bridle. As a testament to his trainability and dispostion, Casper never even offered to buck a single time when the saddle was introduced! After spending the next 7 months just being a pony due to not having space in the training barn, Casper again entered training November 1st, 2009. After only 1 short training session Casper was already back to his pre-vacation training level, and was being ridden his third day back in training. Even compared with the outstanding dispositions of our other POAs, Casper stands out. Seldom is there a pony that is so easy to train and so eager to please! With his exceptional quiet and forgiving disposition he will be perfectly suited to caring for a beginner rider, or excelling with a more experienced horseman. He is well started under saddle both huntseat and western, and has a great slow jog and an outstanding working trot. As he progresses in his training, we plan to also start him on reining manuvers as well as beginning work over fences. Be sure to check back to see his progress! We are excited to announce that Casper will be in our own show string for 2010, showing until sold! Watch for him in large gelding halter, and adult western pleasure, huntseat, trail, and reining. This quiet, fun to work with pony has the ten plus movement and conformation to be truly awesome. If 'awesome' is what you are looking for, Casper is your pony! ***Ask about our show home discount!***
