Boomer is a 2006 chestnut leopard stallion with a star, strip and snip, and rather unique feather markings. He measures 54 inches tall.
We purchased Boomer at the 2006 International POA Sale as a future sire for KS's Pony Farm to cross on the daughters of our other stallions. We feel that Boomer has some of the very best bloodlines of the entire equine world, not just POAs. Sired by The Sudden Impulse, ApHC, who is by A Sudden Impulse, AQHA, and out of Zippos Supreme Bar, ApHC. Boomer's sire's lines go to The Investor, Zippo Pine Bar, Sonny Dee Bar, and Scotch Bar Time. Boomer's dam, Lattae Lady, POA, is sired by the legendary POA stallion St Niks Snowstorm, and out of the good small AQHA mare, MsAnnie Prescription. Lattae Lady traces to the best ApHC and AQHA foundation stallions such as Prince Plaudit, Easy Jet, Docs Prescription, Leo, Sugar Bars, and Doc Bar.
When such great bloodlines come together in such an outstanding individual, we expect not only good things from Boomer in the show ring, but he should posess outstanding sire power. Boomer has a wonderful, quiet disposition, and a mischevious, inquisitive mind that makes him eager to learn new things. It is also a challenge to keep his mind occupied, and there has seldom been found a pony who loves his Jolly Ball more than Boomer! He seems to find it especially comical to throw it into adjoining stalls and 'bomb' his barnmates. He is a 10+ mover with a long, flat-kneed stride, but also has the athletic quickness of his
cutting horse ancestors. Both traits he loves to show off when turned out- especially if he has an audience of either humans or other ponies across the fence! Boomer is maturing to be the true all-around POA athlete he was bred to be, and excels in pleasure, trail, reining, and halter. Boomer has had much sucess in his three years showing. As a yearling, he had International Top 10's in halter and lungeline, as well as a Futurity Top 10 in halter. Some of his 2008 show season highlights including SE Regional Grand Champion Stallion, International Res. Champion in 2 year old colts, state show 1sts in pleasure and trail, Futurity Top 5 in halter, and #4 in the Nation in 2 year old halter stallions. Boomer's 2009 show season started with a bang in Tennessee, where he was named Grand Champion Stallion both days. His next show was the Southeast Regional, where he was Grand Champion Stallion as well as High Point JPFC 3 & 4 year old! 2 1/2 short weeks later we were off to the International. Boomer was named International Champion 3 year old Stallion! He placed 8th under one judge in a very large JPFC Hunter Under Saddle Class, and also earned 3rd place in JPFC Reining- and it was only his second time to compete in the class! As the year continued, Boomer's accomplishments only continued to stack up. Multiple state wins under saddle included western pleasure, trail, reining, horsemanship, hunter under saddle, and huntseat equitation. Boomer also proved himself at his 4th and final appearance at the International Futurities. After a super run in trail earned him a
10th place finish in a large class of over 30, he also garnered a 4th place over-all finsh in reining, and had great rides in his pleasure classes. However, the highlight of the show was when Boomer was named Futurity Champion in 3 & 4 year old Halter Stallions. By UNANAMOUS decision!!! Boomer also finished 2009 #2 in the Nation in 3 year old stallions, TNPOAC High Point Stallion, and TNPOAC res. High Point JPFC. He also earned his ROM in Halter in 2009, and has a lifetime total of over 720 halter points, 22 Grands, and 5 reserves. Boomer has unquestionably proved himself over and over in the show ring, and is now retired to stud. We are expecting his first two foals spring of 2010, both out of World/International/res. Futurity champion producing mares. Boomer will be standing to a limited open book in 2010, and due to demand booking has already begun. Don't miss your chance to bring your top mare to a stallion with a great show record and an unbeatable pedigree!
